The Creation of The Matriarch Clinic
The Journey
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
This quote has guided me throughout my life and has been foundational in the decision to start The Matriarch Clinic.
I recently elected to embark on the exciting journey of starting a virtual menopause clinic in my home state of Montana and extending into Wyoming. Having grown up in the beautiful, rugged landscapes of Montana, I have always been deeply connected to the land and its people. As a young person, I personally experienced the complexities that come with receiving health care in a rural environment and these challenges have become even more apparent in my role as a healthcare provider. Providing the right care to meet the unique health challenges faced by women in our rural states, especially those navigating the complexities of menopause, stood out as an unaddressed opportunity.
As an internal medicine provider in Billings, Bozeman and Big Timber, I observed a troubling trend, namely, many menopausal women felt misunderstood and underserved by the healthcare system. This realization resonated with me and it became abundantly clear that many women across Montana and Wyoming were experiencing similar challenges.
Driven by this awareness, I made the decision to open my own practice – The Matriarch Clinic. My vision was clear: to establish a clinic that offered a comprehensive, medically proven approach to menopause care. I envisioned a space where women would be heard and cared for, a haven during this significant life transition.
With the groundwork laid, I have been filled with a sense of purpose. My approach is personalized and patient-centered. I offer everything from hormone therapy to lifestyle counseling, ensuring that each care plan is tailored to the individual needs of my patients.
The potential impact of my clinic fills me with hope. I envision women from all over Montana and Wyoming coming to us, seeking the care and understanding we provide. I am determined to make my clinic a model for menopause care in rural areas.
Starting this clinic is not just a career choice for me; it's a commitment to serve my community and make a tangible difference in the lives of women during a critical phase of their lives. As I embark on this journey, I find myself reconnecting with my roots, fueled by a deep passion to serve the land and the people I cherish so deeply.
